Doctor Who Prequel: Pond Life part 2 - Series 7 Autumn 2012 - BBC One

Doctor Who Prequel: Pond Life part 1 - Series 7 Autumn 2012 - BBC One

Pond Life: Parts 1 & 2

In case you haven't read my earlier post about "Pond Life", you may want to do so now. But it's not crucial, your choice.

Basically to sum it up the BBC is airing (online only) a five-part prequel to Series Seven, called "Pond Life". This is basically what happens to Amy and Rory as the Doctor comes in and out of their lives every month or so. Episodes are around a minute long and air once a day until September 1st, when "Asylum of the Daleks" premieres.

I only have the first two parts, so I'll try to post the next tomorrow or perhaps later this week as I may not be able to post until this weekend.

Oh, I'll apparently have to post the videos seperately, so look to the next post.

Pond Life

Get online Monday, August 27 through Sunday, August 31 for "Pond Life"!

Set in between Series Six and Series Seven, "Pond Life" will depict Amy and Rory attempting to return to their normal lives.

The five-part miniseries will air on the BBC's Doctor Who website daily from August 27 until August 31, expected to air around midday.

An omnibus version will be shown on September 1st on the BBC Red Button service.

In an introduction to the series Arthur Darvill (who portrays Rory) stated the series would have a cliffhanger that "...leads quite nicely into episode one of season seven of Doctor Who, 'Asylum of the Daleks'."

  Excitement is in the air!

The Eps (More SPOILERS)

So, I suppose it's about time to talk about the individual "eps", as Matt Smith has called "episodes".
This does contain some minor spoilers, just to let you know.

The first five episodes' names have been released:

  "Asylum of the Daleks"
  "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship"
  "A Town Called Mercy"
  "The Power of Three"*
  "The Angels Take Manhattan"

*This episode was originally reported to be called "Cubed", but the real name was later confirmed.

The series is expected to return in early September, but there has been no exact confirmed date. (Torture for some fans, I know)
Chances are I will go through the individual episodes later (tons of spoilers there), so hang tight.

Are you as excited as I am?

Series Seven: It'll Be Here Before You Know It (Contains SPOILERS)

Though I have not heard an exact date for the Series Seven of Doctor Who, it'll be here before we know it! And this season is going to have some changes in store.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to put a button on my page to conceal spoilers, so for now I'll just warn you: This post does contain spoilers, so don't read the rest of the post if you do not want to see them. Sorry about that.

All right, so what is probably going to be the biggest change will be the fact that the Ponds are leaving the TARDIS, and will be replaced by a new companion this Christmas.
Jenna-Louise Coleman is to play the Doctor's new friend, rumored to be named Clara Oswin.
As I said a few moments ago, she will start her adventures with the Doctor this Christmas during the Christmas Special.
And for those of you who don't know, Jenna-Louise also appeared in the film "Captain America: The First Avenger" as Connie. She appeared in the scene where Bucky and Steve are at the "City of the Future".

But, we also have to keep in mind the Pond's departure.
Amy and Rory will be leaving in episode 5, called "The Angels Take Manhattan". And, you guessed it, the episode will feature the Weeping Angels. Steven Moffat said about the episode "...Not everyone comes out alive, and this time I mean it."
So, one/both of them may die, neither of them may die, we just don't know yet. However, Karen Gillain has reported she does not wish to return to the series after her departure. She would prefer to permenantly depart in a heartbreaker.

I'll get more news on the new series as I can. Unfortunately my laptop is having some issues, so I am having to borrow one from my sister. So there may not be too frequent posts for a few days. (No, I haven't tried sonicing the laptop yet.)

Welcome, Geeks of the Universe!

Hello, and welcome to Space and Time: Doctor Who! This is a site devoted to news, quotes, pics, and other fun stuff in the Doctor Who universe. But, I may occasionally go a bit off-subject with some other sci-fi (Star Wars, Star Trek, etc).
I am doing my best to make the blog as clean as possible, so I do ask that you avoid foul language or references to inappropriate subjects in comments. I'd really appreciate it!
So, I guess there's only one thing left to say: Allons-y!
