It just came to my attention that the first episode of Series Seven, titled "Asylum of the Daleks", premiered on BBC America with more than 1.5 million viewers!
This is the largest audience Doctor Who has ever gotten on BBC America, easily passing the previous record of 1.28 million viewers, which was for the premiere of Series Six, "The Impossible Astronaut".
Wow. Moffat, you did it. My mind is blown.
Various news and other fun things in the Doctor Who universe. I should probably tell you right now there are *spoilers* here.

Asylum of the Daleks: Series Seven Begins
Before I get to buisness, I'd like to apologize for my absence over the past few days. I've had multiple laptop problems, and on top of that I've been fairly busy lately. I'm using a temporary computer now, so hopefully things will start to settle down and I'll be a little more committed to the blog.
And now to buisness. Ladies and gentlemen, Series Seven has begun! "Asylum of the Daleks" aired with what I hear to be quite a few viewers, though I'm not sure of an exact number. But I do have the Appreciation Index: 89! (YEOW, Moffat did good!)
"Asylum of the Daleks" was, according to Steven Moffat, supposed to make the Daleks scary again. Well, he succeeded. Just my opinion.
But before you go and watch it, make sure to see "Pond Life". I posted a few episodes of the five-part mini-series, and I'll see about getting the others up. Not only are they really good, "Asylum of the Daleks" should make more sense after you watch them.
And this Saturday, it'll be time for "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship"! In this episode, the Doctor, Amy, and Rory find Brian Williams, aka Rory's father, on a spaceship full of dinosaurs. And that's just part of it.
Wait, question: So, if the Doctor and River are married now, and Amy and Rory are the Doctor's in-laws, then is Brian the Doctor's grandfather-in-law? Mind = BLOWN.
